Pilgrimage to Rome

April 14-22, 2016

We have decided to offer an opportunity for those who may be able to travel to Rome to do so as part of a 'Holy Year Pilgrimage' of parishioners from Saint Martha Parish and Saint Mary Parish. Both Father Joe and I hope to accompany the pilgrimage as long as we can arrange coverage for the parishes for a week without us.

There will be two components to our pilgrimage.  The first is a 'Youth Pilgrimage' that is open to our high school students.  Our Youth Minister, Mr. Bob Collins, will accompany the teenagers and watch over them with the assistance of some other adult leaders.

There will also be a general pilgrimage open to all parishioners.  Young people who are not yet in high school are welcome to participate, but would need to have a parent with them.  We will travel as one group on Aer Lingus from Boston to Dublin to Rome on Thursday, April 14, 2016. We will return to Boston on Friday, April 22, 2016. This is April School Vacation week. The group will stay in Rome for the week, but will make a full-day visit to Assisi. The whole group will visit the major sights of classical and Christian Rome. We will pass through the 'Holy Doors' of the four Major Basilicas and celebrate Mass at each of the basilicas during the pilgrimage.  There will be some times when the youth and adults may head off on separate excursions as many of the young people will likely want to climb the stairs to the top of the dome of Saint Peter's Basilica, while the adults may want to do something with fewer stairs!

Access Ramp Project

Brick order are still being accepted!
The access ramp is nearly complete with just a few minor details to wrap it up.  We have nearly covered all of our costs with just a small percentage still needed.  Thank you SO much to all who have donated so far.  Please prayerfully consider helping us finish our fundraising and finalize these last few items.  All donations big and small are so appreciated!

We are still taking brick orders for bricks to be placed in the garden around our beautiful new statue of Mary to be completed next spring.  Order forms are in the parish office and near the church entrances.  Remember, a brick can make a very nice gift for a special person in your life, especially a for the holidays!
